US independent publisher Bug Music has acquired the rights to Sugar Hill Records’ publishing catalogue.

In a deal that covers 600 songs, from the worlds of Bluegrass,  Americana and Country Music, Sugar Hill Records has sold their music catalogue to Bug Music, an independent United States company.

The sale includes rosters at Sugar Hill Records’ two publishing companies, Southern Melody Publishing Co. and Queen’s Counsel Music, the companies that published music by; Nickel Creek members Chris Thile, Sarah and Sean Watkins, Robin and Linda Williams, Ralph Stanley and Etta Baker.
